Kayak & SUP Rentals

By the Hour, Day or Week! 2 Locations!

Renting a Kayak, Canoe, or Standup Paddleboard has never been easier at the Kayak Shack.  We have completely upgraded our fleet of boats and boards for this year, and have now have two waterfront locations that allow you to simply “park and paddle”.  Baggs’ Landing Paddlesports Centre located on Route 9 on the Ausable River. We are open weekends until mid June. Then mid June  to Labor Day we are open daily at 10am, weather permitting.  We offer a complete line of boats for rentals from tandems and canoes, Sit On Top,  Day Touring kayaks, and Stand Up Paddleboards from our launch site into the protected waters of the Ausable river.  It is just a short paddle to Lake Champlain, and Ausable Point State Park. Just to the South of the rivers’ mouth is also one of the nicest beaches on Lake Champlain and is only accessible by boat!

Some rentals are available to load on your vehicle, and take away from Baggs’ Landing location at 3004 Route 9 Peru NY.  Call us at 518.566.0505 for info on what we can do for you if you would like to venture off on your own into the Adirondacks or other parts of Lake Champlain.  We also can offer delivery with advance  notice and reservation.  For longer term rentals more than 3 days we offer multi day discounts.
