We are offering the remainder of our Santee 100’s made by Hurricane Kayaks at 10% off through Sunday. They are $849, so the sale price is $764.00. The handle great on calm flat water, are lightweight (33lbs) and are made in the USA! I have only a few left so stop in while supplies last!

City Beach Rental Shop Opens for the Season

The city beach opens today, June 23. Yeah summer is finally here. We have been busy setting up our rental shop over the past few days. Of course, we had to test our equiptment out on the water and our staff enjoyed a quick paddle on Lake Champlain.

We are happy to announce that offer kayak rentals, stand up paddle baords and new this year bikes. We have partnered with Mountain Riders and now offer a great selection of bikes to rent.

The hours are 11am-5pm daily weather permitting. We offer stand up paddle boards and kayak rentals by the hour, half day and full day rates. Mountain Riders offer beach bikes, hybrid and mountain bikes for rent for half day and daily rates. Stop by and check us out!

Valcour Island Race 2010

The 11^th annual “Round the Island Race” is on Saturday, July 10^th, 2010 at 9am. This seven-mile race consists of both citizen and unlimited class for all skill levels. It is an opportunity to enjoy the company of others while competing and paddling around Valcour Island on Lake Champlain.

Registration for the race is $10 and begins at 8 a.m. at the Valcour Kayak Center, located in the Valcour Educational Conference Center 3712 Route 9, Plattsburgh, NY.

The race starts promptly at 9am on southwest corner of Valcour Island.

Ok - the stuff is in!!!. I know we’ve been telling a lot of you about all the great stuff that will be here by “next week” for like a month now, but this week its really here!!!. (and my back is hurtin’ from movin it all in.)

got a big shipment of Hurricane Kayaks in including the Tracers, a tandem and the new 140’s and 128 . Also new rack systems and trailers by Malone. They hvae some great systems that are a little more affordable than the Thule systems we stock and talk about some ingenious ways to make it easier to lift and load that boat on top of your vehicle - we’ve got it.

We also have in new PFD’s from MTI, Palm, And Kokatat. New colors and styles, as well as paddling jackets, pants, and undergarments too.

we’re still only open on the weekends right now, but come May 7th we’ll be open 5 days a week.
